A Probably Stolen items database with base values, authenticity risks and sources for hands, cartridges, food, chems, water, modules and contraband.
Probably Stolen Items List: Values and Sources
Probably Stolen has no single in-game encyclopedia. Items arrive through customers, suppliers, scavenging, and production, and their value depends on condition and authenticity. This page is a working database of the item families that matter most, with the values that are documented and clear labels where a number still needs testing.
Use it with the appraisal guide. A base value is a starting point, not a sale price.

How to read this database
- Base value is the documented starting value before condition and feature adjustments.
- Floor is the minimum the item can appraise for.
- Risk is the main reason the item can lose value or attract Security.
- Needs testing means the number is not confirmed in the 1.0 build.
Prices change with difficulty and patches. The appraisal tables are the source for the detailed adjustments.
Cybernetic hands
| Item | Base value | Floor | Main value drivers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aluminium hand | 100 | 50 | Neural, armour, blade, condition |
| Carbon composite hand | 150 | 50 | Neural, armour, blade, condition |
| Gold-plated hand | 300 | 50 | Neural, Deluxe package, condition |
The named packages are Tactical (+100) and Deluxe (+200). A gold hand with neural and no wear is the premium configuration. A damaged aluminium hand with an unspecified interface can hit the 50-credit floor.
Plasma cartridges
| Item | Base value | Floor | Main value drivers |
|---|---|---|---|
| Plasma cartridge | 300 | 90 | Seal grade, casing condition, reinforcement |
The IGN seal is the outlier at +750, but only on a high-grade cartridge with no crack, no exposed screws, and no reinforcement. Most cartridges are worth far less.
Food and medicine
| Item | Base value | Floor | Authenticity check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ribwich | 150 | 40 | Year, facility, logo, sticker, sesame/pickles |
| Fake Ribwich | 40 | 40 | Any failed check |
| Immunivax | Needs testing | — | Serial batch, name, maker, cracks, indicator |
| Hemingway cigarettes | Needs testing | — | Spelling, font, logo, colour, seal |
Ribwich is the most documented food item because its authenticity markers are elaborate. Immunivax and Hemingway are visual checks; the base value is not published in the sources used here.
Water
| Item | Grade | Base value | Risk |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ghostwater | Lowest | Low | Undrinkable |
| Basewater | Low | Low | Needs treatment |
| High-Quality water | 99–99.9% | Medium | Contamination if stored badly |
| Pure water | 99.9%+ | High | Requires a proper purifier |
Water value depends on grade and source. Springwater attracts buyers; Rustwater and Gutterflow are dirty tap types. Test before selling.
Chemical supplies
| Item | Base value | Contents |
|---|---|---|
| Common Chemical Supplies | 50 | 2 Mini Alcohol, Lipobond, acid, base |
| Restricted Chemical Supplies | Needs testing | 2 precursors, 1 Reducing Agent |
The common pack is a cheap input, not a guaranteed profit. Acid and base can carry heavy metals that no vanilla filter removes.
Machine modules
| Item | Value | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Standard module | 70 | +25% family effect, machine-adjusted |
| Corrupted Module | 45 | −8% Performance, −5% Efficiency |
| Neural Core (Capped) | 250 | Stats unconfirmed |
| Neural Core (Uncapped) | 1,500 | +200% Performance, +100% Quality, −100% Efficiency |
Modules are not Workshop mods. They are physical parts installed in a machine bay. The module list has the full table.
Tools and shop equipment
| Item | Value | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Fridge | 100 | Stores drinks; 2 Energy/day |
| Water Filter | 25 | Early water filtering |
| Module Bay Expansion Kit | Needs testing | Adds bay cells |
| Basic Module Extractor | 100 | Six extractions |
| Advanced Module Extractor | 350 | Unlimited extractions |
The Water Filter's price dropped from 50 to 25 in patch 1.0.0.2. Tool prices vary by vendor and difficulty.
Contraband and high-risk stock
| Item | Risk | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Stolen goods | Security search, confiscation | Evidence in storage or display |
| Unlicensed firearms | Permit inspection | Legal only with the right permit |
| Restricted precursors | Investigation | Restricted chemical input |
| Neural Core (Uncapped) | Critical-level contraband | High value, high attention |
| Counterfeit labels | Fraud complaint | Customer or Security report |
Contraband can be profitable, but it needs a storage plan and a buyer. Do not put it in the display window.
The database tells you what an item is worth in good condition. It does not tell you what the seller is asking, what the buyer will pay, or what the risk costs. Those are three separate negotiations.
Item sources
| Source | What you get |
|---|---|
| Customers | Random stock, stolen goods, fakes |
| Retired Chemist | Common chemical supplies |
| Scavengers | Cheap tools, water, junk |
| Thief | Stolen goods and common chemicals |
| Dr. Jackson | Module kits, special stock |
| Hypertech Smuggler | Neural Core, high-risk contraband |
| Dumping Ground | Search finds, including extractors |
| Foundry crates | Machinery and module parts |
| Production | Water, wine, chems, printed goods, crops |
The same item can come from several sources at different prices. A customer's asking price is not the market price; it is an opening offer.
Using the database in a run
- Identify the item family.
- Check the base value and floor.
- Apply the appraisal adjustments.
- Check the buyer pool.
- Subtract the risk cost.
- Make an offer with margin.
If you cannot complete steps 1–3, do not buy the item. A cheap price is not a discount if you cannot value the thing.
What still needs testing
The following values are not published in reliable sources:
- Immunivax base value and feature adjustments.
- Hemingway cigarette base value.
- Restricted chemical pack value.
- Module Bay Expansion Kit price.
- Most gun and accessory base values.
- Wine and cooked-food price tables.
These are marked Needs testing rather than filled with guesses. The database will be updated as the community confirms them.
FAQ
What is the most valuable item in Probably Stolen? The Uncapped Neural Core is one of the highest-value documented items at 1,500 credits, but it is critical-level contraband. Gold-plated hands and high-grade cartridges are safer high-value stock.
What is the minimum value of a cybernetic hand? 50 credits.
Are item values fixed? No. Condition, authenticity, difficulty, and buyer demand change the price.
Where do I find item values in-game? The appraisal window and the Station Trade Commission guides. This database collects those values in one place.
