Best Probably Stolen Mods — Top 15

The best Probably Stolen mods ranked by use case: UI, inventory, appraisal, brewing, multiplayer and water, with subscribers and compatibility notes.

Best Probably Stolen Mods: Top 15

The best Probably Stolen mod is not the one with the most subscribers. It is the one that fixes a problem you actually have. A UI mod that clarifies appraisal is worth more to a new player than a gameplay overhaul that adds ten recipes; a multiplayer mod is useless if you play alone.

This list is organised by use case, with subscription counts and compatibility notes. For the full Workshop overview, see the mods guide.

Start with UI mods, not gameplay overhauls

Item Details, Appraisal Assistant and Shutter Events change what you see, not the economy. They are the safest first subscriptions.

Best for new players

Item Details and Appraisal Assistant are the two highest-value UI mods for a first run. They put more information on screen without changing the economy, which is exactly what a new player needs.

Shutter Events is a close third. Knowing the day's event before you open the shop lets you stock the right goods. It does not change the event itself, only when you see it.

Purchase Stay Counter is useful if you keep losing customers to long queues. It shows how long a customer has been waiting, which makes counter flow visible.

Best for inventory management

Smart Inventory Arrange is the clear winner. The vanilla grid is functional but manual, and sorting a full shop is tedious. The mod automates the arrangement, which saves time on every session.

Starting Storage Coordinator is a smaller mod (3 subscribers at the snapshot) that organises storage at the start of a run. It is worth a look if you like a clean opening, but it is not as widely tested.

Do not combine two inventory overhaul mods. Pick one and test it.

Best for shop information

Reputation Pop makes faction changes visible as they happen. That is useful because reputation is easy to lose without noticing.

Client Demand Highlight helps you see what customers want, which is especially useful when you stock multiple product lines.

Bargain Panel On The Left is a layout preference. If you find the default panel slows down negotiation, try it.

Best gameplay mods

Brewing Expansion adds brewing content, which pairs well with the vanilla wine line. It is a gameplay mod, so it can change balance and may conflict with other brewing mods.

CorpPresence expands the corporate side of the station. It is a content mod, not a UI tweak; expect new items, dialogue, or systems.

Pen's self-learning upgrade machine adds a progression machine. It is one of the most popular gameplay mods, but it changes the upgrade economy. Try it after a vanilla run.

Lucky Perk Plus adds luck-related perks. Perk mods can interact with the starting-perk screen; check that the game still loads after adding it.

Pen's Pipette adds a chemistry tool. It is useful for chemistry-focused runs, but it may overlap with other chemistry mods.

Multiplayer

Probably Multiplayer is the only multiplayer mod in the top 15. It is experimental. All players should use the same mod version, and you should back up saves before testing.

Do not install multiplayer and a large gameplay overhaul together until you know both work alone. The failure modes compound.

Water and utilities

WaterTower adds a water tower for bulk storage. It is useful for water and aquaponics runs, but it is a mod building, not a vanilla tank. If you play unmodded, the water guide covers the base containers.

Aquasense (30,249 subscribers) is another water-information mod worth considering if you test a lot of water. It did not make the top 15 by subscriber count, but it fits the same use case.

Mods to avoid on a first run

  • Economy overhauls — you cannot judge the balance without a baseline.
  • Multiplayer — experimental and version-sensitive.
  • Multiple inventory mods — conflicts are likely.
  • Old Mono mods — patch-sensitive.
  • Translation + UI mods — new text may not be translated.

How this list was built

The ranking uses subscriber counts from the Workshop snapshot, then filters by use case and compatibility risk. It is not a quality score. A mod with 500 subscribers can be better for your setup than one with 100,000.

Before installing, check the last-updated date and the dependency list. The installation guide covers the steps; the compatibility guide covers the failures.
